Founded in 1934, C.I.A.T. (Compagnie Industrielle d'Applications Thermiques) is one of the main European suppliers of air conditioning and air handling equipment, heat pumps, ventilation and heat exchangers. The CIAT group employ 1.600 people with a turnover of about 150 million Euros in 2000. CIAT heat pumps include more than fifty models covering a capacity range from 5 to 2.500 kW. 4 % of CIAT's turnover is spent on R & D activities. Its R & D Center employs 40 (forty) engineers and technicians.
